tunze in tank filter and skimmer

I'm about to set up my first salt water tank. I was wondering if the tunze reef pack was a good system for a reef tank. I have a 125 gal. tank with a closed loop pump system. I've raised discus for about 2 years and got bored so now I;m going salt water. Can anyone ofer some advise. thanks

Im not sure what the in tank filter is. I would set up a sump with skimmer and use Live Rock as main filtration. If you could post a link to the product you are talking about I could probably tell you more.

If this is what you're referring to (the second one down)

I'd say that you'd be better off with an ample amount of live rock and a good quality protein skimmer. That system seems to be designed for marine use but I'd be skeptical about how effective it'd be in a well-populated reef. On the other hand, Tunze is generally known for good quality. Still, I'd spend my money on a high-quality discrete protein skimmer and the live rock.
