I had one of these, but have since upgraded to the Tek T5 hood. The Nova is great, but not for SPS and high light demanding clams in my experience. For anything less, it's pretty damn good for the money. Also, $269.99 is way too much, you can get it here for $199.

I've got one for sale (only used for about 5 months). I'll sell it for $140 shipped. Reason I upgraded to the Tek is that my new crocea clams weren't looking so great under the Nova Extreme. They look great with the Tek hood, though. All my LPS, softies, derasa clam, zoanthids and ricordea were great under the Nova.

What about a bubble tip anemone? You think it would be ok under this fixture. I'm getting ready to set up a 55. Wife wants to see the shrimp and crabs crawling around, so I was just going to throw in some leather corals and the like, but really want an anemone/clownfish interaction in my tank

I just replaced my Nova with an Aquactinics fixture. The Nova is loud compared to the Aquactinics.

Pancho............Is the Aquactinics alot brighter?...I really like their fixture...I just really liked the idea of the built in Led's on the Nova

Fullpull.... it is alot brighter! I switched because my crocea was'nt too happy with the Nova. I wish the Aquactinics came with moonlights.
