ASM G4+ water depth

hi

I would like to know the water depth in the sump for an ASM G4+?
From what i read on asmskimmer.com, they say 8 to 10 inches. What are you experiences? I would like to put 12 inches in my sump. Is it to high? Thanks.

you could put a base under it to raise it up made out of egg crate to what ever height you wanted, just make sure you have enough room for tank to drain into it incase of pump failure or power outage
