ro/di problem

I just changed my ro filter and now I get a 2:1 waste water
I used the same filter as before its a 75 gal per day I am getting 0 tds, but I know that I will go through DI resin alot faster. any ideas and what would be the remedy, all info would help. thanks

You need to readjust your waste flow. If you have an inline capillary type flow restrictor it needs to be trimmed a little. If you have an orfice type you need a new different sized one and if you have an adjustable one you need to open it up a little to get back closer to 4:1.
2:1 won't give you higher TDS or use resin faster but it will shorten the membrane life dramatically since it is not being flushed as well.
