I've never gotten aiptasia thusfar, but I have learned that I absolutely love two part epoxie's myriad of uses! Anyone ever thought of just smothering small aiptasia with a small piece of two part epoxy? I'm sure the little buggers wouldn't survive. And you can use the purple stuff. It would look better than aiptasia, and would eventually regrow over with coraline.

I have done this in 2 spots. I had 2 small groups of aiptasia and just covered them up with epoxy. The glue has since turned green and purple so I can really tell. Hey it got rid of them.

I tried that once and the thing grew back out of a tiny area I missed, plus the epoxy didn't set very well.

I remember reading once there is some sor of snail or something that eats them. But after it clears out your tank you need to find it a new home since thats all it eats.

I've squirted boiling RO/DI water at them with a turkey baster with excellent results. I use the same technique on nuisance algae.

Berghia Verrucicnoris are the best for treating Aiptasia. Although when they are out of their source of food, they may choose to starve then switch foods.

I have. It worked quite well. Just keep an eye out for another spot it might pop out.

Seems like a waste of resources with little else. I squirt warm kalk over them: They never come back so far.
