stop in cycling?
Ive been cycling my 29 gallon with a bottom layer of livesand (about 1/2'') followed by a 4'' sand bed, with about 15lbs of live rock? Its been cycling fine for about a week but these past four days ive been testing and Ammonia has stayed at .5 and nitrite is still at 0. Is there a reason that my tnak has stopped cyling, if not is there a way i can reset the cycle, or possibly speed it up? or do you think my test kit is faulty (its a couple years old)

when I cycled tank, params were holding steady for about week and a half. It is not stalled, you're in good shape, just hang on

your params will floccuate quite a bit during the next month. your cycle didnt stop. trust me i know about this first hand!
throw a cocktail shrimp in the tank and let it rot for a few days. this will allow for the production and colonization of the nitrifying bacteria you are looking for. dont rush this proccess!
