Kent Salt???

I posted this in the Chemistry forum first but thought it might get more exposure here.

Hi
I have been suffering from a low Alk and high Cal in my tank and I just tested my water change water which is Kent salt mixed with Ro water to 1.026, I got the following results.

Alk= 5.4
Cal= 530

These were tested with a Salifert test kit and seem a little out of whack to me what do you think??

Cheers
Ian Ward

What are the units on the alkalinity test? dKH? If so, the alkalinity is a bit low. If meq/L, it's high. Calcium seems high, too.
