need advice on tank transfer
right now i have a 4x22x24 tank which i think is a 106 gal i want to transfer my reef into my 5 x18 x2 which is about a 112 gal for aquascaping purposes , how would i do that and what would i do with my sand bed , right now my sand bed is about 2 in and in some spots its like concrete from the kalk dosing i have done in the past , i am dosing b ionic now , would i be better off with a new sand bed,and dose b ionic turn sand beds into concrete, thank you for your advice.

I just switched tanks also and i went with new substrate. I was told that if you disturb your sand it will release nitrates and will be more harmful than good. just use a cup or 2 out of your existing tank. also I switched my lr and waited a couple days to switch over the corals. I had a mini cycle that lasted about 3 days. I hope this helps.
