Anemones and Clowns.
I have what i believe is either a Percula or Oscerillis(sp?) clown. I can't tell the difference myself and i can get a picture if someone else can help me. But my question is how long did it take you clwon to host your anemone. I added an anemone today and was told that in the next few days(2) that he should begine to host the anemone. Just wondering if anyone else had an opinion on this. The anemone type is a BTA. Thanx. -Frank.

naturally perculas host in bubble tip anemones. Carpet anemones are possible, but less likely.
What kind of anemone. I see. Bta, nvm. But yea it can take a while. Somtimes they have to group them in a bucket to get toghetr.

Clowns don't need them, they sometimes will ignore them and live in something else. Depends on the fish.

Ok well according to the picture and opinions in that thread I've come to believe my clown is an Ocelleris and not a perc. Will this host my BTA? I sure hope so. I have a pair of ocellaris in my 20 gal and one hosted a flowerpot and one hosted a toadstool. They've since both taken the flowerpot.
