Ricordeas are MEAN!!

So in my larger tank I have 2 orange thorny stars. Every once in a while I have to pull them away from a ricordea who has one of its legs held hostage! If the star is on the sandbed and one of the rics very close to the bottom has him, he cant escape.

Has anyone had something like this happen? Would the ric be able to kill the star if it was held long enough? The star is way bigger than the ric if that matters.

Also, a while ago one of my acros was missing his crab and I saw a part of his claw right next to one of my rics! I love acro crabs!
