phyto reactors

what are the pro's \ con's of keeping these. i know a bit about them (how the work and such). But is it alot cheaper to make some of your own food or better feeding with your own live phyto cultures?or is it even worth the work? if anyone could post thier personal experince with a reactor(and possibly what hardware was used to set it up) or some links with some more info it would be great.

It depends on how much phyto you need. If you need a lot then yes it would be worth cultivating your own. But if you wont need at least 2-4 liters a week then I suggest just buyin a phyto product. They are really concentrated so they last a good while. Its hard to get really concentrated phyto by cultivating yourself unless you have a centrifuge. By time you figure on electricity, time, and space for growing your own, it might not be worth it for you to do it. But the link above is a great link so definately check it out. Good luck. And if you do try it, post your set up and details on costs etc.

I have grown my own before, and like mrongl1 said, I actually just prefer to buy it from the LFS
