feed pump

purchased a euroreef 6-1 that somebody did the recirculating mod.
needs a feed pump.
was thinking of the gen x1000 needle pump or going with a maxijet 900

any opinions
i have a 6-3 with the maxijet and it works fine just wondering if using a feedpump with a needle wheel also is a good idea or overkil

I think you'd be better off asking in the DIY section, but the feed pump needs to provide the proper amount of water flow. Adding even more air might or might not help, I don't know, but the water flow needs to be tuned, for sure.
