Coralife 220 Super Skimmer- Pump Dead

Hi, my 8 month old pump for my protien skimmer died. It appears to be a bad pump and not just the shaft/magnet.

Coralife is out of the pumps and is waiting on an overseas shipment. It could take a month to get another one.

Any ideas on a replacement pump I can get that will work with this skimmer?

Thanks for the help.

Andrew

Bump, will a mag 7 be to much for this skimmer? I realize I will need to make some custom fittings for the air intake and the return to the skimmer.

I have a spare mag 7 and was hopeing this might work.

Thanks

I think you could use this:

I dont see how many gph would be needed for the pump.

Is yours a Coralife 220 venturi skimmer? Then it can use any pump that fits at the proper gph (650-750).

You could probably use a Gen-x 2400 or 4100 NW pump and get much better skimmate production.

If you can find one with the same dimensions for the magnet, then simply swap out the one in there to another pump, if not then I would definately think about reusing the impeller.
