Garlic Xtreme, how to use and other supplements for no ich?

So If I have brine frozen gumdrops, sinking pellets, and flakes, how do I soak in the garlic?

What other supplements can I add, when I have fish, so that I can get their immune systems good..to prevent ich?

Courtney

The best way to avoid disease is to keep all your water parameters in check. I've beaten ich simply by good husbandry. Water changes and temp control were my two biggest. I have used the garlic before, I just soaked flake food or some nori with it. But honestly, the first advice is what saved me.

There is no conclusive data that garlic does anything for fish. It's only anecdotal.

Good husbandry is the best cure and prevention.

Pat

If you do use selcon or garlic extreme just add a drop to the food before you feed and let it soak for a while then feed... I usually add a drop of each before i feed. I do it time to time just as added health benefit to my fish.. Does it do anything who knows but i havent seen anything negative only positive!

I to use garlic x-treme and I only see positive results with it. However, as already stated the most important factor is keeping up on the water quality in your system. That and a stable temperature and PH and SG are very important.
