have a stand, now which size tank?
I have a Oceanic stand in storage and wanna go ahead and setup a new tank. The 58g that accompanied the stand met its demise in transit when the bottom pane shattered
![]() The stand dimens are 36x18, so I have some options when it comes to buying a tank. I don't wanna spend the $$$ getting a RR 58g again, so I've narrowed it down to 2 tanks- a 40g breeder they have at PetCo, and a 55g at a LFS(its not a 48"55g) The price of the 40g is $99 vs. the $175 of the 55g, so is the extra 15g worth $75? Another thing to consider is that the 40g has a tempered bottom, whereas the 55g does not, and I do plan on drilling the tank. So I can either do the back of the 40g or pretty much anywhere for the 55g What do ya'll think? |

yes, I do concede that there other sizes- 65g,oceanic makes a 70g, 50g breeder- they would all work, however the only two sizes that I have available to me in town are the 40g breeder and 55g
(okay thats not entirely true- a LFS has bothe the 65g and 70g, but they're both RR and command a price of about $300 for the tank alone) |
