t5 availbility

welp I am starting to see more and more t5 set ups at common stores now.

I was wlaking through big lots a cheap discount store often selling 2nd hand or discontinued merchandise.. I can across some 18 and 24 inch t5 single bulbs fixtures with the bulbs 6400k
for 10 dollars a peice..

I walked around lowes and saw some nice bathroom fixtures 2 bulbs for 100 dollars that were very sleek.. 48inch
and I saw some economy fixtures.. still a bit pricey .. and nothing more then 2 or 4 bulb configureations with one switch but I would guess before long were going to be able to find 6 and 8 "shop light" t5 HP fixtures...

T5 is all about the TEK style reflectors, if it doesn't have it, skip it

I was shocked last week when I went into my LFS and saw they had a couple of tanks running with TEK T5 hoods. They have a 90G with a 4 lamp hood running 2 DD AB, 1 DD B+, and 1 DD Sun. It looked really nice.

a tec light is just a t5ho with a relector for each individual bulb right?

If so they where.. looked like each bulb had its own polished aluminum relfector
