2 seio 1500's on a 180gal
These 2 power heads are blowing sand away from the front glass all day long. I need that controller NOW! The current is very strong. I have them in the rear corners pointing at the front corners across the way. Do you think it would be ok to turn one pump off at night to give the crabs and shrimps a break and let them do a little scavenging? I really wish for x-mas I could get my hands on one of those controllers.

its not the best wave maker but its only $150-160. I thought real hard about buying 2 tunze and a controller but I already have seios and they work great so I shouldnt fix whats not broken. If I am going to spend $800 on 2 pumps and a cpu I rather spend 200 more and buy a nice H&S or Deltec. I am getting them from our awsome LFS thats also a wholeseller for the area. I will send you a PM to contact the store, I am not sure if they will ship one but they do ship large stands. Here is their website www.bioreef.com
From what I have read the controller throttles the pumps down to 30% and back to 100% every 15 sec and every 30 min for night time. My plan is to place my two 1500's on one end and one 1100 on the other end facing each other. The 2 1500's will be on the controller being throttled from 30% to 100% every 15 sec during the day. While they throttle down to 30% I hope the 1100 seio will over power and create an outgoing wave effect. When the 2 1500's are at 100% that will be the incoming wave and will overpower the 1100 on the opposite end. I am thinking that I will need another 1500 seio to make this happen. |

You can throttle back the output using the inlet ring on the Seio for now. Just close it off a tad on each one to get a flow that works.
