You could trying increasing the flow in the areas that are affected.

I used Red slime Control in my 24 gallon nano cube and it didn't hurt anything. I have seahorses, some corals, a blenny, and a clean up crew. Everything was fine.
Oh and the red slime was gone in 3 days. |

Red slime feeds on phosphates, if you are feeding dry food, if so switch to frozen, are you using RO/DI? I do not think red slime is in any way affected by flow, when my RO membrane went bad my tank was covered in red slime and its got a dart on a closed loop and 4 tunzes, its like a jacuzzi, it grew everywhere. I beat it with water changes, good husbandry.

I usually just let it go and eventually it disappears after the tank ages. Part of the new tank syndrome!

I would stop the phyto. What are you feeding with the phyto? A tank that young most likely will not need phyto at this point.
Typically this is caused from nutrients being too high. The link to the thread below is pretty interesting and may help you. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...hreadid=147010 Regards, Pat

Nothing in your tank needs phyto from what you have listed, i would completely stop with the phyto and add a clean up crew and ride it out.
It will be gone within a week or 2. |

I had red slim about 2 weeks after I did my set up. I learned here at RC that this is mostly caused by over feeding.I cut back on feeding and the RS went away within a few days....
