Need advice on pump?
I have a 80 gal reef with a big sump and a little giant 5-MD-SC....
rated at 1050 gal/hour... it is kinda noisy what would you purchase to replace it ???? |

I use Iwaki and very reliable. you can also use Sequence.

I got the Sequence Dart for my 60 cube's closed loop. (going to 4 nozzles, 2 on each side of the back panel)
Works great for me, but I like loads of flow. The trick was getting the substrate (Aragamax Select) to stay put, but found a flow pattern that works great for both corals and substrate. It's as quiet as the fans in my 400w fixture, too.

that is what I want to know which one is the quietest ??
Im happy with the flow 1050 g/h I also have an old quiet one ( pink housing) for skimmer its more than I need for skimmer ..... I have a bypass on it and send unused flow to tank .... When I pluged it in I realised how noisy lil giant was!!! |
