Pump help!

Hello,

I need some help asap, my return pump is a quite one 3000, i had unplugged it to do some maintenance, and now when i turn it back on it makes some horrible chattering noise. I assume it needs to be cleaned, however i dont have the insturctions anymore and I can't figure out how to take the intake grill off. I would have thought it was just a screw type thing, but it doesn't seem to be budging... does anyone with this pump (or a similar model) have any ideas? I am going to soak it in a vinegar solution soon, to see if that will help.. thanks!!!!
