Bubbles in the Tank
Question....after I feed mysis shrimp, I start getting a lot of bubbles in the tank from the sump. This also happens when I change out my PolyFilter. It used to not do this. Why would it do this, and why now?
I did have to tear down my tank due to a faulty stand, and since then, its been doing it on and off. Some times it causes bubbles, sometime it does not. My flow is a Mag 7 through the MegaFlow overflow, through a MegaFlow sump. I'm running an ASM G3. |

Mine used to get bubbles from the sump. I found it to be caused from my mag sucking up bubbles that formed from my protein skimmers waterfall-like return. I put a sponge under it to "soften the blow" and have not had a problem with it since.

Does your protien skimmer increase in the foam action after feeding and changing your polyfilter? If so then micro bubbles are going out of the protien filter into your sump and to your pump.
