I bought an ro from them and it works great. I already had an RO/DI. They have some really high end stuff in their warehouse. The only thing is the refillable DI cartridges will last longer than the smaller one in your link. Nonetheless, they are a reputable company that makes a fine product.

They are a pretty low end unit unfortunately. Notice things like using less expensive granular carbon, not mentioning the chlorine capacity of the carbon block, not mentioning what membrane they use and using a low quality horizontal hollow tube instead of a better performing vertical refillable DI canister and cartridge.
I would first contact them and ask the brand and part number of the membrane it comes with. I suspect it is a 90% rejection rate nano filter and not a 98% rejection rate RO membrane. Then I would as them for specifics on the carbon block and the quality of the DI resin. We see companies like this dumping questionable quality units on the market and lots of unhappy people once they realize it wasn't such a good deal afterall when they have to start upgrading to make it work they way it should. I would recommend returning it for a refund and buying a unit from one of the several Reef Central sponsors that deal in good quality RO/DI systems and who are saltwater hobbyists themselves. |
