Hitchhiker ID Update
I think I've figured out what everything is except one. The first one I noticed actually. Some suggested it may be a starfish but it seems very unlikely.
Normally it just looks like a small hole in the rock. Occasionaly a pink blob pops out and blows a bubble. When I turn the tank lights off long hair filaments about 4" long come out and stretch out into the current. This sounds like some sort of anemone behavior but this thing has remained stationary in that hole the whole time. I put in a peppermint shrimp today and he looked like he was just about to eat it a second ago. Any clues assuming it dosnt become lunch? |

if the peppermint shrimp eats it then i feel confident in saying its an aptasia anemone. a pest anemone you want to get rid of. many people buy peppermints to eat them
