Carbon Replacement Procedure
I need to replace the carbon in my filter as it has been a few weeks. Should I just soak it in RO water overnight and add it to the filter? Do I need to run it under tap water?

I would just wash the carbon under water for a minute or two till the water runs clear and put it in the filter.

yeh.. id just rinse it under tap water until no more black comes out, use RO/DI if your overly concerned, then just pop it in.
