Brittle Star Arm cut off

My brittle sea star had his arm cut off somehow(http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/sh...71#post8485271)
I left it in the tank and while feedin i see the arm (bout an inch and a half) Taking food is it possible the arm can grow a body? (that sounds really dumb )

are you sure it was cut off and didn't rot off?

Re-read your other post and it was probably cut off. Have you stalked the tank at night. Moonlights or red flashlight will work.

No, the arm won't grow a body. It will eventually run out of energy and die.
