All of my fish have ich! what do i do?

I have been soaking all of their food in garlic extract and they are all eating fine. My numbers are normal but i still havent been able to get rid of it. Is there something else i can do?

Quarantine. Catch them all, and put them in a separate sandless, rockless tank with maybe some pvc pipe for cover, with a floss filter and a heater. Treat them with hyposalinity or with copper-based medication as appropriate for the group---some species won't take hypo well, some won't take copper well. Ask in Fish Disease forum.
It will take 8 weeks of your main tank going fishless to clear this out. If you move quickly, you should not lose any fish. But you MUST get a refractometer if you're going to run hypo: a swingarm isn't accurate enough.

This thread will help as well. It will teach you everything you need to know.

http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-08/sp/index.php

There are 2 parts read both.

Garlic will not do squat for ick. It's a wives tale that it does any good. It has not been proved scientifically that it does anything.

Regards,

Pat
