PC Light question
okay so i'm looking to replace my PC light over my planted tank and the bulb I really want is a 6700K 65 Watt 21 inch bulb. I have 55 Watt 21 inch bulbs. This bulb i'm looking at should work right? The ballast will just not be able to overdrive it to 65 watts. I am correct?

I'm pretty sure 55 or 65 watt can be used on the same ballast.
Normally you can't use 2 different wattages (say a 96watt on a 65) but I've read with that size you can interchange. Best to check with manufacturer to be sure though. kass |

55/65 W bulbs are the same bulbs. The actual wattage depends on the ballast, so you should be fine.
