flow design on a 90

ok guys, i'm finalizing the flow setup on the 90... and i wanted some feedback...

i'm going to use 2 mj1200 Ocean Flos (~1700 gph) at opposite ends of the tank, on a 2:15 minute cycle controlled by my ACjr. it will overlap 15 seconds each cycle.

i also am going to have a wavysea, powered by an eheim 1262 (~850 gph) on a closed loop.

do we think this is enough flow for a 90 with about 50% sps? my other coral will be placed in lower flow areas of the tank.

thanks!

Sounds good. I have a OceanFlo 1200MJ on my 90 and it moves a lot of water. I had it about 4" below the top of the waterline and had to move it another 6" down because it was sucking in air and creating a loud vortex.
What pump are you using for the return? As long as you keep the SPS in high flow areas, you should be fine.

Anyway, we need to see pics of your tank and set up to make an accurate guess.

gotcha.

um, my return is a mag 7. i just wanted enough pump to get the water through the sump, and i'm of the school of though that it needs to actually BE in the sump for more than like 10 seconds for the filters to do any good.

the main reason i'm asking is i was thinking of going with a bigger pump on the wavysea, and that will determine my hole size for the intake of the CL.

i'm still setting the tank up, my 58 is what's running right now.

as far as the oceaflos... that blank part of the housing with no slots is supposed to face upwards to prevent the cyclone effect. i had mine upsidown the first time.
