The New ASM, AKA Octopus Skimmers?

Have you guys seen these? It appears ASM is no longer making their G-series skimmers but are now making these Octopus skimmers? I believe these are different than the Octopus skimmers previously discussed from Pacific Coast Imports or whatever.

They are inexpensive....wonder if they are any good.

Anyone have one? Pics in action?

I think ASMskimmer.com just stopped carrying ASM and is now selling octopus. They were just a distributor not the manufactuter.

Theyre not made by ASM. ASM still makes their G skimmers, just not many places are carrying them since they jacked up their prices. Theyre just as expensive as ER right now, and are nowhere near the product.

Those are exactly the product imported by Pacific Coast Imports. I have a NW200/PS3000, and its a great skimmer. I woudlnt order from MarineSolutions right now though, lots of complaints lately.

Coralvue is an importer, just like Pacific Coast Imports. Theyre both importing the same skimmers from a chinese manufacturer.

So is All Seas Marine still making the G series skimmers? I did notice the price of a G-3 is higher now than when I purchased mine.

All Seas Marine is still manufacturing the G Series skimmers. There was a price increase in March. The MAP on a G3 is $309.

asmskimmer.com aka marine solutions is just 10 minutes away from my house. the owner stopped carrying the skimmers because as people mentioned above that they are jacking up the prices. they do however still have a couple g4x's, g3's and 2's i believe. you can always shoot them an email if you still want an asm.

Seems like everybody is hopping on the NW skimmer bandwagon these days, what happened to creativity and creating an exclusive product? lol
