calcium reactor using fluidized bed filter
i was cleaning up my sump room a little ago and i found a old 25" fluidized bed sand filter and it looked like it would be perfect for the first chamber of a easy diy calcium reactor. basically it is a rectangle chamber with a inlet and return at the top. the inlet takes the water down to the bottom where there is a difuser plate and the outlet is simply a threaded 3/4" hole on the top.
is there any problem with using this? it seems like it would be basically the same thing as a normal calcium reactor chamber but cheaper... or in my case... free http://www.bigalsonline.com/BigAlsUS...edbedfilter600
