I do and they work fine together. Geo input line fits right into the Tunze pump too so no mods there. Output line just goes to your tank and your all set. Wife put it in the plastic tray so I wouldnt mess up her carpet if it leaked...it doesnt

No problem. I also have a 90 and only fill the unit every 2 weeks or so. Have a timer set to mix it for a minute 3 times a day (side of pic) and it keeps it pretty well stirred and PH in tank stable. Much better than the Kent drip systems I started with a yr and half ago.

Sounds perfect. Right now I use a Tunze Kalk container and I have to add Kal every 3-4 days to keep the PH stable. Looking to get a little more mileage out of it. Every 2 weeks sounds much better.

I know the feeling, went with the Kent systems for a while, then the Tunze Calc container in my top off bucket and then this. I was refilling all the time also ( still am as it went on my 29 now but not as much). You will be happy with this set-up and the ease of it.

Phyxius- One more question. Where do you get a timer that can fire in one minute bursts? I'm used to the appliance timers.

I use digital timers I bought from HD and they work great. They are heavy duty timers with 3 prong plugs in/out so they are nicely grounded. Easy to use, battery backup, 20+ settings , random mode and etc. Been using them for 2 yrs with no problems on any of them. 1 minute switching on/off intervals and 1 second min countdown settings.

Made by:Westek
Model # TEO5W
Run about 15.00. I have 6 of them on our tanks doing multiple controls on stuff.

You can see it in the picture above to the left by the chair with the plug in it. Box in pic on chair has my Geo 6x12 Calcium Reactor in it that I will eventually use on the tank down the road.

Here is a closer pic of one that atvdave posted in another thread which is the one I am using also. Hope he doesnt mind me using his pic...

Thanks again! Looks like I'm gonna have to go blow $75 at the Depot. I'm tired of the appliance timers. Seems as if anytime I brush by them the dials move and I have to reset the time. Also tough to get them dialed in to synchronize them as hard to tell exactly what time is on them.

Matt,
These are pretty hard to change by brushing up against them. Wont lose setting in a power outage either. Like I said I have 6 for my tanks and 2 for house lights. I have never had a problem with any of them.
You can also set them in random mode that will stagger the off/on times by up to 30 min each day which will vary lights or etc if wanted.

Phyxius- I ordered the Geo and picked up some timers. My HD didn't have the exact same timer but it is made by the same company and appears to be very similar. I will use them for my lights and for the Geo. One thing they don't have is a countdown timer you referenced in yours. Do you know how this works? I assume you set a time and it counts down to turn off. I am looking for a timer for my main pump which I unplug for feeding. I would like to be able to set it for a few minutes during feeding and have the pump turn off-then turn back on when the countdown is over. I assume I would have to mod the internal wiring as I assume the countdown is for the on position. I don't think this would be too difficult. My other option is to splice the pump cord and run it through a turn dial mechanical countdown timer-plus reverse the wiring so the timer turns the pump off when activated. Any ideas?

Matt,
I`m trying to find the manuals in all my fish info I have saved and will let you know how it works. It says it does it but I have yet to use that feature on them.

Thanks. No rush-I have to go out of town today and won't be back until the weekend. It's easy enough to plug and unplug the pump-just once in a while I forget to plug in back in. Not good when you have a chiller. I see you're into RC cars. You like expensive hobbies. I have a couple T Maxx and electrics. They don't seem to get used as much as they used to pre-reef. Have a good Thanksgiving.

I`m looking still for them but don't know where I put the little pamphlets to them...There is a CTD button right on the timer but cant get it to change modes by pushing it.
Yeah son and I got into the HPI cars awhile back and it was expensive running 3 of them. Right now they are up on our planter shelf on the one wall collecting dust. 2 HPI Nitro RS4-3 Type SS Acura RSX bodied models and one RS4 RTR bodied F150 my son uses...Let him play with the one Acura and it got away from him so we are in crash mode on that one right now Learned 11 yr olds ( at the time) and a RC car that does 50+ with 2 speed tranny and 3/4-1" ground clearance on street out front = bad idea. Thought about trading the cars and getting him a Traxxas truck that will be a little more forgiving

I`ll try and find you the info on the timers.
