DSB into a WSB, could it work?

Hi,

Another wacky idea, spent too long on net and read the BB/DSB/RSB etc.. till my eyes boiled.

So i guess i have to ask the stupid Q's 1st.

Major issue with DSB is over time alot of CR*P builds up and starts to rot if not eaten by pod and such. So in the end it can crash.
Major issue with BB is lack of pods and the livestock you get with sand.
You can use a sump but most pods and livestock get minced on the return to main tank.

So what about the best of both worlds a WSB, WALLED SAND BED.

Has anyone every tried it ? Cant think of major issues but feel free to shoot down.
