Wanna double check my lighting choice ?
Here's what I'm planning to order today or tomorow:
I've got a 40 breeder (36 long x 15 tall x 18 wide) with a 1x150w 10k metal halide. Corals are LPS and soft with mushrooms, eventually I'll add some SPS - so, very mixed reef. If nobody told me different I was going to supplement the halide with 2x39w T5s: 1xGiesemann Actinic Plus (which is the same as ATI Blue Plus right?) 1xUVL Super Actinic and maybe buy an extra Giesemann Actinic 03 just to try all the blue bulbs out. That is all of them right? ...And run them on a Triad ballast (have it on the way already). Any thoughts on those bulb colors in combination with my 10k 150w halide? Any danger of all that extra actinic/blue being too much for light sensitive mushrooms? |

the ati actinic + is a little better than the geiseman blue+. PAR wise...
other tha that, not much different really. since you will have a MH, i really wouldnt worry about it. b+ a uvl SA and a 10k Mh will work and look great on that 40
