Can hermits carry Dinoflagellates???
My friends 120g tank had a Dinoflagellates outbreak. He's tearing his tank down and gave me some of his hermits. Would it be safe to put these hermits into my tank?

Everything can carry dinoflagellates and most likely do carry them. After all, they are just a family of unicellular animals. Most likely he's having an outbreak because of nutrients and you aren't because they are undercontrol. I would say keep up good tank husbandry and enjoy some new hermits.

Not really. Put them in a bucket with saltwater, and make sure it has not light (put a powerhead in there for airation, etc) and leave them for a week. The Dinos will die with no light.
