ID please strange thing

Something appeared overnight on the tip of some of my macro-algae. It is very hard to see it with a picture (sorry about that).
Basically it is a tiny white stuff that has some very long (4-6 inches!) feeding tentacles that are retracting in the small thing often. The tentacles are super fine with branches on one side of it.

I tought that it was snails eggs but what about the feeding tentacles?!?

The setup is brand new (2 weeks old) with nothing else that live rock, live sand (all from TBS) and a few hermits and snails (while I wait for the second part of my package).

Thank you so much!

is it like a tube thing? Then the long tentacle comes out of the tube? And is it just one tentacle for each tube? If so, it could be just some tube worm and i wouldnt worry bout it. They dont do anything besides eat

agreed. here are two ID sites for you too, as you're bound to discover countless other random organisms as hitchhikers on your TBS rock. Lord knows I did! Good luck!

i cant remember the name, they dont really hurt anything. its a type of tube worm, NOT a vermetid snail. they will become an eyesore quick. just cut off the tip of the algae its growing on, and chunk it.

You have sessile ctenophore's, aka comb jellies They are cool creatures, but sometimes can reproduce in our tanks to the point of becoming a nuisance.
