How long is Charcoal good

I have been running charcoal after crashing my tank one week ago from flatworm exit and am wondering if ok to remove it along with canister filter.

I change mine once a week with water changes. But that is just me

Sorry about your loss on that tank. What were you able to salvage from that?

Most change it between three to five weeks depending on your bioload, I change it every month.

Do you mean activated carbon or carcoal?
Activated carbon last about a month on average. However charcoal has fewer pores and only last a week or two
