Cup coral/SPS growing algae

I have a good size cup coral that has grown very well over the past 2 years. Recently the top of it is starting to grow hair algae on the rim. Also, I have a good size colony of sps that has grown rather large and high in my aquarium which is also growing hair algae on its tips? Any ideas why this could be? I havent had this problem before and I havent changed my flow pattern at all?
Thanks for any help!

Unfortunately your water quality is dropping; a second and related issue may be your lighting.

Please provide as much details about the system and your husbandry schedule for maintenance and supplementation.

I will get other parameter but let me start with this:
Could it be due to a RO/DI quality of 003ppm TDS?

They both like higher flow and can acutally drown in there own slime under low flow. Looks like flow may be low.Not sure if blowing that off is bad or not.

3ppm is actually pretty good; higher flow is always good provided it is wide based and variable.

demonsp,
Where in town are you located?
