Seio
Hello
I am looking to add some flow to my tank. Just wondering if any one has any comets or sorties on using the SEIO's, if so I would like to hear what you think about them. I mean for the money you get a high amount of flow. Thanks mike

I responded to this same question in the General forum (it's only necessary to post in one place, most of us read more than one section ) but I'll add my thoughts here as well.
I have an 820 and a 1500, no problems at all so far -- I adore them. If you're handy and like DIY you could try modding a maxijet, I chose to go for the Seios instead. Yes, for the money you get not only a lot of flow but it's also widely distributed so it's not as harsh as the flow coming from a smaller powerhead like a MJ. They're not designed for use with wavemakers, and some people have reported restart issues, but overall Seios have a good reputation.

i use seio's too, same as AC a 1500 and an 820. they can't be used with regular wavemaker but seio has come out with a controller now that ramps them up and down.
for the money and the amount of flow you can get, i definitely recommend them. |

I have a pair of 1500's that are coming up on a year old and still doing fine. Also have a 620 that I bought used and use it for salt mixing and in my QT sometimes, have no idea how old it is but it's still running fine.
