ASM G3 Skimer Noise

Hi everyone,
I finally upgraded froma berlin to an ASM. I have had it on my 120g reef for about a week now and have had incredible results. I did the gate valve modification today and now I have a loud gurgly noise coming from the air hose. Otherwise it is quiet. I have tried to figure out what is causing this but without results. Does anyone else have this problema and if so , what did you have to do to stop it? thanks in advance for your help.

Did you set it up like this? If not, try it.

no, not exactly. I have it set up according to how the ASM website has it shown. Do you think it will make a difference in the noise?

This is the Bill & Elaine style. It has been stable & quiet for me.

Do yourself a favor and modify the impeller. Guaranteed 50% performance increase. search for gutter guard or scrub pad.

I have done 2 different scrub pads & they have both disintagated in a couple of days. I'm now running the new Euro-reef needle wheel, with good results.
