Does anyone here use an air stone in their SW tank? I have been running my on occasion to help break up some of the film on the surface of the tank. 55 FOWLR.

Most of us either dirrect a power head towards the surface or rely on an overflow to drag the surface water down to a sump.

Air stones are not nessecerry for salt water just good water flow.If you do use a buuble a wood bubbler is best for salt water. I use this whene i mix a batch a salt water that im not useing right away , or before my skimmer was in my refug. This helped skimmer from freaking out.
