Compact T5 Electronic Ballast Supplier
I need someone to refer me to a supplier of compact electronic ballasts. I am trying to upgrade two 48” actinic tubes in my ARAD HLD-1250B fixture from normal output to T6 high output. The T6 tubes fit in the NO fixture but need a T5 ballast for optimal output.
Currently, I have two 1 x 40-watt ballasts. I’d like to replace them with one 2 x 54-watt T5 ballast. The T5 ballast has to be a very compact electronic model to fit within a small 5-1/2” x 5-1/2” x 2” enclosure. I don't think standard length T5 ballasts will fit. Thanks! Okay, I've just ordered two ballasts from www.naturallighting.com. They are Fulham "Workhorse 3" cube case ballasts with side leads. The dimensions are 3.8"L x 2.5"W x 1"H.
They should be small enough to fit. I hope that I won't have to add heatsinks to keep them from overheating. |
