Looks very very nice! I really love the caves and underpasses you've created.

It's African Lace Rock sold for cichlids and reptiles. It's starting to "purple-up" a bit.

At 30" tall but only 18" front to back, stacking/balancing was not an option, so I threaded all the rock onto 3/8" acrylic rods glued onto flat acrylic bases, essentially forming rock pillars.

Sorry, but here's the link

the acrylic rods drilled into the rocks works great! i used quite a bit of pvc piping too in my tank which made it much easier to create all the free space under the rocks structures. its hard to make out but both "caves" on either side of my tank are completely hollow, but from the front it looks like a pile of rocks. its kinda hard to see without being right there.

my offer of 20 bucks to the person who spots my 4 tunze turbelle streams still stands ;-)
(my fav part of my tank is how well I hid them)

I can see where you ran the power cords for the pumps down the edges of the overflow but I dont see the pumps themselves. Looks good!

Where do you get the acrylic rods like that? I asked for them at the hardware and craft stores and they all just gave me a funny look.

I like the rock work. I can picture it with acros growing on top and zoas, shrooms, rics and montis all throughout the rest. Looks cool and you will get lots of low under the structure.

Look up a plastics store in the yellow pages if you want local. Otherwise, usplastics has both the rods and the discs I used. I just glued several thin discs together to make them thicker.

Yes, almost all my SPS are at top, other stuff below. Only thing I worry about is lower stuff slowly creeping up, so I'm watching growth carefully.

Here's a somewhat more recent pic:

Nice rock work, I found one of your streams! In the pic where the trigger fish is up top near the overflow, there is a rock arch and there is a stream tucked in the hole there. The trigger's mouth is almost pointing right at it.

You mean corals to the rock? Aquamend and superglue gel.

Rock to rock? I didn't...none of my rocks are attached to each other.

Acrylic to acrylic? Weldon 16.

hth
