how long will my algae bloom last?

any ideas? green algae, coats glass and now LR/LS. tank has been up for 2 months, 2 weeks with fish and coral.

Probably cyano. Are you using RO/DI water? What are you nitrate levels?

cyano is usually red in the aquarium. diatoms can be green too, but are more often browinish.

GHA is common (green hair algae)

i guess even though algae is common in new tank syndrome you still need to take steps to remove them.

post tank parameters first off
a pic could help
are you using ro/di water
lighting
flow
tell us these and you will find more of the experienced people will answer your questions. it is not that they don't want to help but with so many users here the threads with the most info get helped first.
