65g coralife skimmer for 55g tank?

Is it enough? Would I benefit with going with an instant ocean 100g skimmer? Also, any comments on these brands? I see some negative reviews but I chalk them up to user error/not breaking in, etc

I would keep looking. Junk is a kind word to use on either skimmer.

I have the 125 coralife skimmer on my 75g tank and its decent. It was a pita in the beginning, but once you get it setup right, it works. It's been 3 days since I've cleaned it and I only run the skimmer 9 hours a day when the lights are on. Also only have a flame angel and a purple firefish at the moment. I painted the pump black since it was grey, along with the top of the skimmer and a few other parts.
