Talbot's damsel?
I saw a few of these guys at a LFS today and thought they were pretty cool. I know some of you have damsels in with your aggressive fish but I read that these ones were on the peaceful side for damsels. Could I get a few for my tank for the sake of movement and color or would they get beat up on by my other fish? The other fish in my tank right now are a one spot foxface, blue spot puffer, and a picasso trigger.

I wonder if this isn't getting a lot of view because everyone's wondering why I made a dedicated damsel thread lol
![]() Yays or nays? "It'll be fine" or "*** are you thinking?" |

I would think your main cause for concern would be the trigger, but I have kept damsels with aggressive fish in the past without issues.

The nice thing is Talbots dont get very big, like 3" MAX.
I wouldnt worry about any of your current fish eating the damsel unless you get it really small, but even still then the humu would be the only one who might do it. If it was me, I wouldnt be worried at all. |

A lot of times I think damsels are just too much trouble for the predators to eat since they swim around pretty fast.

I dont' know why people, especially in the fowlr section worry about damsels picking on their otherfish.
Unless your LFS sells freakishly large humbugs, or you're keeping seahorses, a damsel probably wouldn't be able to do do much damage to your average fish, especially the ones people plan to put in a fowlr. |

lol-I wasn't worried about the damsel being aggressive
![]() Anyway I've got two new talbots in QT. It seems like a huge waste to quarantine damsels ![]() |
