Arrow where is your Tank in your house?

Just curious to where every one keeps them, and what the stress level inside the tank is accordingly. Do your fish run and hide. Have you paid a price in buying a fish that didnt care for the traffic?

Myself, my 55 is in our foyer and we bring our dogs in and out through that door. Keeping easily frighten fish is out of the question. I picked up a small sailfin tang a few weeks ago, and found him stuck between my HOB overflow dead. you could tell he had been frightened into a tight spot that he could not have gotten himself out of.

My 29 is in the livingroom the clowns love the attention but my splended dotty back hides in his spot so i dont get to see him to often unless its feeding time. Hopefully things change when I start the next tank.

our dogs are rat terriers that are in transition from alpha dog dominance and have been out and out going at it tonight right in front of the tank. when I upgrade to my 125 in a few months it is going into the bedroom.

Family/living room. My fish are out 99% of the time. They don't scare easily.

Our 125g is in the living room about 5' from the TV. We usually don't walk close past it due to the layout of the room. If we get close enough to spook the fish it is usually for feeding or to more closely observe the tank.

90g in the kitchen. It too is a focal point as it is next to the table where we eat. I like it there because the floor is tiled underneath. Can't tell you how many times I have mopped up messes (small and large).

I think if our kitchen was big enough that would definitely be a deciding factor. I love the peninsula tanks

I'm considering upgrading to a 180 peninsula to divide my kitchen and family room. I'm getting that familiar manic feeling. It's usually followed by massive spending!

Tank is in the living room.

Fish that are interacted with on a regular basic will not run from things.

Plenty of tanks are in high traffic areas and the fish are out against the glass hoping every passer by has food.

In tanks with reclusive fish I would look more to bullies inside the tank or improper stocking.

Hay you moved the halogen lamp. Much nicer!

My tank is in the living room/music room with acoustic drums, electric guitar, and grand piano

The fish seem to like the music or banging whatever you wanna call it

My current 72 is in my office right behind my computer, but my new 125 is the first thing you see when you walk in my house!

In the living room, I try to control the ambient light when the tank lights go out but I think they have gotten used to my tv and kitchen lights on every now and again. My orange spot goby does get mad when I approach the tank at night and starts swimming erratically almost jumping out of the tank.
