The snails will be down sizing soon.
But I have some bad news the arrow crab decided to have a snack and ate my mandarin and a few days later the A/C in my house went out, as a result the evil crab died along with one of my zoa frags but hopefully I think one polyp may survive.

Well decided to see what LFS had and got 4 new frags and a bi-color dotty back

frags:
about 20 polyps of melon zoas
about 20 polyps of radioactive green zoas
19 polyps of radioactive green dragon eyes zoas
and two small pieces pom pom xenia

Will try to post pics tonight
Update on the heat wave that hit my tank my starburst polyps look like they are coming back after a week of not opening which is awesome lol

a few suggestions

#1 raise the light up a little, the reflector on the 150 Viper K-2 (thats the one I have and use) doesn't seem to give a good spread unless its about 4-6" off the water in the 24.

#2, Add a few more chunks of live rock, slowly and pick peices that are alot lighter than they look like they shoudl be.

#3, please don't try another mandarin for atleast a year. Unless you find one eating prepared foods he is not going to survive in the 24 unless you manually add pods (and that gets expensive)

#4 with the 150 you may want to start working out a fan of some type for heat issues. I have a sump and use a fan and keep my tank below 80, without the fan I would easilly be up to 82 and higher. A guy I know has a large computer fan on the back rim that comes on with his halide and that works well.

Tank is looking good- great coralline growth for such a new tank.

I think I would cap the number of fish you have right where you are.

Thx the coralline exploded at first now its down to a snails pace. As for adding anymore fish I'm done but I am considering exchanging the pj cardinal for a firefire. He's just getting boring.

My clowns have decided that the tank is theirs and any attempt by me to reach in and adjust my coral is met with bites from my male GSM.

hmmm the cube has been up for over a year now.
At the moment it looks pretty rough because my parents were taking care of the tank while I was in Basic and AIT. Will post pics when I get a chance.

Changes sense last update:
1. Removal of UV (Bulb burned out)
2. Trying out 20k bulb instead of the 14k
3. Added a power head in place of the UV.

future upgrades:

1.Chato in chamber 1(trying to find a really cheap led to put in there first)
2. Hood cooling fans

LIVE STOCK:

2 Maroon Clowns ( 1GSM and 1WSM)
1 Purple Fire Fish
1 PJ Cardinal (Gonna Get Rid of too boring of a fish)
1 Scooter Blenny

Feel Free to post advice.
