Diver's Den Aquisition
I've had a trigger in QT for about 6 weeks and he only is battling Lymph. I learned that Diver's Den doesn't de-worm so what should I use to de-worm my trigger? Should I also do anything else in QT before moving him to the display?

Do NOT put prazipro in the food. It's meant to be administered in the water and not orally. There is no way to know what dosage to use when soaking food in it. Even Hikari itself recommends against it. Read Post #54 and on in this thread.
http://reefcentral.com/forums/showth...tinkers&page=3 Deworming is quite easy. Use prazipro and do two treatments, 5 days apart. Between treatments, do a water change and use carbon to remove any left over medication for a few hours. The reason for the second dosage is that prazipro only kills adults, but not eggs, so a second treatment is needed to kill any worms that hatch after the first treatment.

And lymph is not a worm; its caused by a virus. It will go away on its own with good diet, vitamins, pristine water, and time. Its not contagious. BTW, I think almost all fish should be treated with Prazi_Pro in a QT before moving to the DT.

From LiveAquaira DD site:
"Once they start feeding, all new fish that enter our facility, and can be successfully weaned onto prepared foods, are de-wormed, via frozen food soaked in praziquantel, metronidazole, and piperazine." http://www.liveaquaria.com/general/g...al_pagesid=425 I usually give my fish another round of Prazi (2 treatments) as baths.

I believe DD treats all fish for internal parasites; via the frozen food method quoted. SOME (not all) fish are treated for external worms with baths containing a de-wormer. I'm not referring to Aaron Rogers (who will lead the Pack to another Superbowl win next season) fish; but Prazi-Pro is cheap, safe, and easy. IMO, it should just be part of any QT routine.

I would keep your trigger in the QT until the lymph goes away. I know it is hard to wait so long and lymph isn't considered to be contagious, but it is best to have the fish completely healthy before moving it to the DT. I have a regal angel that I have had for 2 months and it is ready for the DT other than lymph but I am holding off on the transfer until all signs are gone.
