Can probes be completely submerged?
As the title says, can temp and ph (and orp) probes be completely submerged? I don't have a good probe holder so just curious if I can just let them sit at the bottom of the sump?
Thanks! |

I don't believe so..
Kind of doubt the wire entrance/cap section is fully sealed.. But I believe you would need to contact the manufacturer of that specific probe..

Not saying they recommend it but my temp probe is completely submerged. It's been like that for 2 years. My ph probe is in a holder not completely submerged. Your results may vary.

The manufacturers say they will last longer if you keep the wire out of the water but they can be fully submerged.
