H2O2 for specific algae spot in DT

I have an acan colony that is attached to a large rock structure. The structure is too large to remove safely. I've noticed that there is some algae growing on the acan's skeleton and it appears to be inhibiting growth in that area. I have cut my nutrients but the spot persists. Would it be safe to try to squirting diluted peroxide on the patch, or do you feel that it's too much risk? Any other ideas?

I squirt straight 3% peroxide (less than a ml) around and in colonies to get bubble algae.
